I-74 West Harrison Business Park
The West Harrison area is becoming a key agribusiness hub for Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, and Ripley counties. Over the past 15 years, infrastructure investments funded by the Dearborn County Redevelopment Commission (DCRC) through its TIF district have led to new businesses, including Whitewater Mill (2012), Brighton Mills (2015), and Dyke Industries (2021). In 2023, a new food processor, Project Fresh (Kopp Turkey), acquired a site.
The I-74 West Harrison Business Park Site Readiness Acceleration Project aims to continue this growth with infrastructure improvements outlined in Bayer Becker Engineering’s 2023 report. The project includes four phases, with READI funding requested for Phase 2.
Phase 1: West Harrison Land Use and Access Plan, funded by DCRC, identifies key development needs, including road access and infrastructure.
Phase 2: The 15-acre manufacturing site on Harrison-Brookville Road will be made shovel-ready by extending a driveway and utilities.
