Homegrown Food Hub
A variety of challenges, experiences, achievements, and opportunities has led a small group of producers and entrepreneurs to develop a regional food hub that supports the agricultural, economical, and social interests of Southeastern Indiana, while maintaining its historically rural, country charm. The food hub is a multi-faceted project that consists of a value-added meat processing facility, an incubator commercial kitchen, retail center for locally made products, aggregation center, restaurant, educational activity center, ag museum, workforce development center, sheep farm, and event center. The READI 2.0 funds will contribute to construction cost of the Arts and Agri-tainment Center and the Southeastern Indiana Food Hub.
